About our project
The project Keep on Learning! is intended for training the unemployed young people from the island of Korčula for cultural entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on acquiring knowledge and idea development which will in turn facilitate their employability or starting their own business.
The project is entirely financed by the European Social Fund, Operational programme Efficient Human Resources 2014-2020 for two-year implementation until 26 March 2021.
The project aims to increase the employability of young people who are actively in search of a job on the island of Korčula and on the level of Dubrovačko-neretvanska county, in the areas key for the development of cultural entrepreneurship on the island.
Workshops for cultural touristic entrepreneurship
Training of unemployed young people in the area of self-employment for entrepreneurship in culture and tourism by organizing festival tourism manifestations. In the workshops there will be classes dedicated to developing skills for organizing these manifestations, encourage cultural and festival tourism by using the cultural and historical heritage of the island.
Business development workshops
Encouraging young and long-term unemployed people to start self-employment businesses by holding IT workshops for basic web design as well as mobile applications, designing of a business plan through mentorship for start-up phase of conducting business as well as learning and educating on the possibilities for financing such projects.
Creative workshops
Through creative workshops different forms of self-employment will be encouraged, designing and creative work, educating and preparing the participants for the design of souvenirs with original Korčula island motives and logos based on local culture and recognisability of the island. The unemployed people will receive and education in the workshops by gaining knowledge on different techniques, skills, and knowledge.

Project goal and partners
Project goal: Increase the employability of young people looking for work on the island and in the area of Dubrovačko neretvanska county in the key areas for the development of the island, by educating the young people and unemployed members of vulnerable groups to start their entrepreneurship path in culture and related competences. The project promotes life-long learning.

Target group
Target group: unemployed young people up to the age of 29, a total of 42 people, who have the best local knowledge of the island and unemployed members of vulnerable groups from the island.
