Novi otok Association in cooperation with Local action group „LAG 5“ announces two-day free workshops on programming mobile applications that will be held on 10 and 11 July 2020 in Korčula.
The workshops are organized within the project „Keep on Learning!“ financed by the European Social Fund, Operational programme Efficient Human Resources 2014-2020 which is conducted in partnership with LAG 5 and University in Dubrovnik. The workshops are intended for the interested young and unemployed persons form the island of Korčula with or without any experience in programming mobile application and those who came across or would like to start doing programming.
In line with the current COVID-10 pandemics, the workshop will be held online using Google Hangouts application. Google Hangouts is an application used for audio and video communication and can be used on different devices (mobile phone, desktop computer, laptop, tablet). All the interested participants who are not able to participate in the online workshops can use laptops and wi-fi free of charge on the premises of LAG 5, address Trg. Sv. Justine 13, 20260 Korčula (all the guidelines and measures by the Croatian Institute of Public Health regarding COVID-19) according to the following workshop schedule:
– 10 July (Friday) 5 pm – 9 pm (1st day)
– 11 July (Saturday) 9 am – 1 pm (2nd day)
Workshop lecturers have over 15 years of experience in preparation, delivering, and optimization of projects in the digital production area. Besides vast working experience, the lecturers are experiences in knowledge sharing and are guest lecturers at a Zagreb higher polytechnic school.
The education will meet the needs of all those interested in the process of mobile application development, tips and tricks in the design of the application as well as first-hand experiences. In the course of the two-day workshop the lecturers will transfer their knowledge and experience in process design, development and end- users and will touch upon all the phases of development, technologies and tools used in the industry. The difference between iOS and Android platforms will be an important topic in the discussion. If you are about to embark on a path of becoming a developer you will get plenty of tips and tricks on entering the programming world for each platform. In the end, there will be a demo overview of each tool and the participant will be able to see what it all looks like on a concrete example.
The number of participants is limited, and advantage is given to unemployed young people from Korčula of the age from 15 to 30. Registrations can be made by filling in online registration form available at THIS link.
